Jailbreak Only: Usefullcons - Add Handy Icons To Your Home Screen

April 4, 2012
There are countless aspects of my iPhone that I adjust on a daily basis - Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi and rotation lock, among others. However, because all these important settings are scattered across the mobile operating system, making adjustments on-demand can be something of a chore. Fortunately, one new jailbreak tweak promises to place all your most-used iOS settings in one folder - it's called Usefullcons, and you can download it now in the Cydia Store. Usefullcons is available for $0.99. Once downloaded and installed, users can make the below adjustments, all from an iOS app folder:
  • The ability to play/pause music.
  • Toggle a flashlight on or off (using the iPhone 4 /4S LED camera flash).
  • Rotation lock.
  • Voice control icon to invoke the Siri personal assistant.
  • Wi-Fi toggle switch.
  • The ability to quickly switch Airplane mode on or off.
  • Switching data services on or off.
  • Location services.
  • The option to lock the device from a home screen icon.
  • Respring capabilities.
  • Powering down the device from home screen.
  • Reboot the device.
You can also make adjustments to the tweak via a new pane in the Settings app, which Usefullcons adds. Here's how the jailbreak tweak looks when in action: As mentioned, you can download Usefullcons in the Cydia Store for $0.99. It's available via the ModMyi repository.
