Kingdoms Of Camelot: Battle For The North Doubles The Challenge With New Second City
April 16, 2012
If you opened Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North on your iPhone or iPad earlier, you were probably greeted by a notification saying that, as pictured below, "the game is currently under maintenance." In all likelihood, this maintenance activity was due to a big change that has since made its way to the game, and that change comes in the form of the game's Second City.
Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, which is the first mobile game from Kabam, was released just a month and a half ago. But since then, the medieval MMORPG has managed to reach as high a place as the ninth spot in the list of highest-grossing iPhone games in the App Store. What's more, within such a short span of time, the game has topped one million players, who have collectively given rise to over three billion residents in more than 7,500 kingdoms within the virtual borders of Camelot.
The new Second City in Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North gives you the chance to double your estate in the game. The Second City includes the new Relief Station and Round Tower buildings, where you can be quickly transported from one allied city to another and where you can store crests acquired upon defeating your enemies, respectively. You can gain access to the Second City by earning a certain number of crests, by winning in the high-stakes Merlin's Gamble, or by purchasing it directly in the in-app store.
The updated Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, which is now firmly set at version 5.0, also introduces a Might Leaderboard, which ranks players according to troop strength, along with other gameplay improvements and bug fixes. (Still no Retina iPad support in sight, though.) Install the update now for free, or download Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North in the App Store also for free. Now be a good knight and make dear King Arthur proud.
