Melbourne-Based Artists Looking To Create Apple Product Perfume For Special Event

Three Melbourne-based artists recently teamed up with Air Aroma ("a pioneering scent solutions company"), in an effort to create a fragrance based on the smell of new Apple products.
Everyone reading this will most likely be very familiar with this particular scent, which accompanies the unwrapping of any new Apple product. For a special event set to take place in Melbourne, three artists - Gavin Bell, Jarrah de Kuijer, and Simon McGlinn - are hoping to have this fragrance diffuse throughout the building. Not too long ago, they asked Air Aroma to develop the special perfume. The scent solutions company notes:
To replicate the smell a brand new unopened Apple was sent to our fragrance lab in France. From there, professional perfume makers used the scents they observed unboxing the new Apple computer to source fragrance samples. On completion the laptop was sent back to Australia, travelling nearly 50,000kms and returned to our clients together with scent of an Apple Macbook Pro.The fragrance itself, sadly, isn't going to be mass-produced - meaning you won't be able to purchase a bottle for your significant other, next Valentine's Day. You can read about the process over at Air Aroma's blog, and for more information on the three artists who requested the scent, check out their website. [via 9to5Mac]
