Midway Arcade Finally Receives iCade Support

April 20, 2012
When we reviewed Midway Arcade ($0.99) at the beginning of the year we had high praise for it. The main negative, however, was the tragic lack of iCade support. If you were one of the many people upset about this omission, I have good news for you! Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment has seemingly listened to customer feedback by releasing a much needed update to Midway Arcade. This new update finally brings with it support for the iCade. If you are not familiar with the iCade, it is a retro arcade-style cabinet for iPad. The iCade houses your iPad and connects via Bluetooth to provide a full size joystick and buttons for a true arcade experience. Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment released a new trailer for Midway Arcade, to coincide with the release of the iCade update: If you cannot view the embedded video above, it is also available by clicking here. Midway Arcade comes complete with some awesome classic titles such as Spy Hunter and Rampage, with more games available through in-app purchases. Game Pack two, containing Gauntlet, Gauntlet II, and Wizard of Wor is surely a must buy for any gamer. While the update is quite limited, the inclusion of iCade support is great for Midway Arcade. What are you waiting for? Grab this update and some leg warmers and relive the '80s in style!
