New Logitech iPad Accessory Combines Cover, Keyboard

Logitech has announced an interesting take on an iPad keyboard. The company's new Ultrathin Keyboard Cover combines an iPad keyboard with protection similar to what the Smart Cover provides.
Anchored by a magnetic clip, the combination automatically attaches to the iPad and features a slim, screen-protecting cover. With the magnetic properties, the set does feature instant on-and-off capabilities.
The quiet, Bluetooth keyboard can last for up to six months on a set of batteries as long as it is used for less than 2 hours per day. The built-in stand apparently does have one downside – there is only one viewing angle of the iPad while typing.
But the slim keyboard does have shortcuts for often-used commands like copy, paste and undo. Function keys also offer enhanced navigation.
The keyboard cover will retail for $99.99 and will be available in the United States and Europe later this month. Along with the new iPad, the set, available in piano black, is also compatible with the iPad 2.
Logitech offers a limited, three-year warranty for the combination. Along with the keyboard cover, a cleaning cloth and USB cable are included.
