Timely Update Gives More Reasons To Spend Time With Timegg

April 21, 2012
Timegg has been one of my most frequently used iPhone apps since its release early this month, not least because of its very attractive interface. An update that was pushed to the app just hours ago changed nothing in that aspect of the app, but it did add some tweaks to improve Timegg's already superb functionality. As demonstrated in the app's trailer below, Timegg is a four-in-one app: alarm, timer, reminder, and D-Day. Its latest update adds new options that are for the most part concerned with the first function. Upon installing the update, you can already select a song from your music library to act as your alarm sound. Now nothing's stopping you from having the Black Eyed Peas' "Let's Get It Started" to wake you up every morning. You can now also opt to make your alarm sound fade in, so that it is activated quietly at first and then gradually becomes louder until it reaches the maximum volume setting. An option to set Monday as the beginning of your week lineup is also included in the update. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. If you share my preference for the 24-hour clock format, you'll be delighted to know that Timegg now supports a clock display based on the full 24 hours of the day. Note that this format is applicable not only to the alarm function but to the others as well. Other changes brought about by the update are the inclusion of an exact date and time setting to the reminder function, reduced battery consumption, and, of course, some bug fixes. Timegg is available in the App Store still at a special introductory price of only $0.99. There's no better time to get it than now.
