AppAdvice has teamed up with Chitralekha Productions in order to offer you a chance to win one of five promo codes for Fantastic Journey ($0.99) for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Not your ordinary adventure, Fantastic Journey is a trip through new worlds with many strange and interesting sites to see. You'll explore the six different worlds by bravely piloting an aircraft around dangerous environments to discover exciting new things and save passengers who've become stranded.
For each of the 30 levels, you'll take off from one runway, make your way around and between all kinds of hazards, rescue as many of the three stranded passengers as possible, and then successfully land on the second runway. Scoring is based on the number of passengers you retrieve and the amount of time used to complete a level.
The environments vary in themes and are a mixture of basic doodle graphics to three-dimensional drawings. You'll come across kites, floating music notes, giant people, large bouncing soccer balls, all kinds of flying creatures, and even shower heads with destructive water streams. Basically, avoid everything except parachuting people.
Overall, gameplay is challenging with lots of last moment maneuvers, but simple controls make it easy to learn. Tap on the right side of the screen to increase altitude, release to descend, and hold the throttle button on the left for a temporary boost in speed. Releasing the throttle returns air speed to about 600 meters per second. It's important to note that your aircraft can withstand three collisions before being completely destroyed.
