A Chance To Win A UniqBoard Promo Code With A Retweet Or Comment
May 19, 2012
AppAdvice has teamed up with Juhee Cho in order to offer you a chance to win one of nine promo codes for UniqBoard ($1.99) for iPhone and iPod touch.
Post-Its on the fridge, the wall, the cork board, the mirror, it's a mess of reminder notes everywhere. There's nothing wrong with those sticky little pieces of paper, but they do get to be messy and wasteful. Organizable and customizable, UniqBoard brings those Post-It notes and memos into the digital realm for more efficient use.
Truly following the Post-It note fashion, UniqBoard offers small, rectangular sheets of virtual paper to record anything from a shopping list and appointment reminders to random ideas and doodles. Notes, otherwise referred to as memos, are organized by boards and can be shared in an email or via any other application, such as a text message, by exporting to the Camera Roll.
There are two ways to start a note and three ways to write it. Available at the home screen, a Quick Memo is just that, a fast and simple way to get something recorded. Quick Memos are saved to the Inbox, allowing them to be organized later on. Otherwise, you can begin a memo from within a specific board.
Memos can be written entirely freehand with a single finger like a pen, using the assisted handwriting system, or with the iOS keyboard. In the assisted handwriting system, use your finger to write a letter in each box and using the commands for moving the cursor, space, delete, line break, and clear current input. The system auto-aligns the text and the final character is added when you close the input box. Normal handwriting provides both pen size and color selection. There's even an eraser, which works only while the size slider is displayed.
Boards can be moved with a simple drag and drop or through the Board List, available via the main menu. Memos can be re-arranged with a drag and drop with the option of being automatically aligned to gird or free placement. Notes are pulled to the front when selected, overlapping any that may be behind.
Further features, toggled within the Settings area of the app, consist of:
- Main wallpaper as default or a custom photo
- Optional badges (and and boards) for all memos, alarm memos, and unread memos
- Font size for assisted handwriting and keyboard inputs, plus font type for keyboard input
- Default input method
- Optional passcode lock for app entry (passcode lock per board is configured within each board)
