Organized, the app, is an effective way to keep all of those to-do tasks nicely grouped and sorted. Content is first separated into folders, such as home and work, and then bundled into lists of needed groceries, upcoming and current projects, vacation plans, and so on.
However, it isn't just the hierarchy that's useful. Organized also provides 20 different list icons and four different list types to help properly sort and identify notes depending on the content. The list type can be changed at any time by tapping on the list name at the top of the screen.
- Date - Allows the assignment of a completion date for each note.
- Priority - Offers color-coding to help remind and group items by importance.
- Long Notes - Used when describing multiple or complex tasks per note.
- Audio Notes - Single line notes with memo recording.
Along with all of these nice placement options, Organized offers simple operation. Tap on items to open them and swipe up or down to navigate. Add a new list by tapping on the "+" next to each folder, and add a new folder or note with a swipe down and hold gesture. Need to rename a folder or list? Just perform a tap and hold on the name until the input box appears.
When it comes to editing notes, the process is just as painless. Tap and hold on note text to do any editing. To select or modify due dates, note color, or audio recordings, tap on the calendar, color box, or microphone symbol displayed on the left side of the note.
The final feature to help keep your notes sorted and handy is the ability to reorder folder content. Tap on the word "Organized" at the top of the main screen and then on the list reorder button, looks like three bars, that appears to the right. Now you should see list reorder buttons next to each list name. Tap, hold, and drag on the reorder button to move lists throughout folders.
Organized is a universal app compatible with iPad, second generation iPad, third generation iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, 32GB and 64GB third generation iPod touch, fourth generation iPod touch and newer running iOS 5.1 or later.
