Absinthe "Lockdown" Error Fortunately Has A Quick, Easy Fix

May 27, 2012
If you've had trouble jailbreaking your iOS device with Absinthe 2.0 (and have been receiving a "lockdown" error message) worry not, because there's a quick and easy fix, according to iDownloadBlog. The website has contacted @pod2g, the jailbreak mastermind behind Absinthe 2.0, regarding the appearance of the following two error messages:
Error detecting device (lockdown error -5) [and] Could not connect to lockdown.
Both might sound complicated, but the fix is simple. All you have to do is head over to the Settings app, navigate to the "Reset" section (within "General"), and touch "Reset All Content and Settings." After you've done this, be sure to download the last version of Absinthe (2.0.1) and try the jailbreak process again - this time, you should be more successful. Good luck! Source: iDownloadBlog
