Facebook Pages Manager Coming Soon To US

Facebook users in New Zealand have already received a rollout of a new Facebook app, according to 9to5Mac. Joining the ranks of the main app and the stand alone Messenger app is another stand alone: Pages Manager.
This app looks just like the main one, though its function is to keep track of fan pages. These pages are all about pushing your brand, which is especially useful for small business owners.
True to Facebook’s modus operandi, this addition doesn’t add anything new to the experience. The app is just a touchscreen shell for content from the actual site.
Fan page owners already receive a weekly email of the page’s Insights (analytics about how many visitors have seen the page, your number of posts and how much the page is being mentioned).
Likely to be for free, Pages Manager seems to be a good deal for those who are power users of fan pages. However, (again, in true Facebook style) the app is designed for the iPhone. This may not be a bad thing, considering how using the Facebook site through mobile Safari tends to be a better experience than the app.
Do you think this app will be any different?
