Jailbreak Only: AutoProtect - Disable Your Passcode When Connected To Home Wireless Network

May 11, 2012
Already, we've seen jailbreak tweaks that disable the iPhone's passcode-lock when the handset is connected to a "home" network (see, for example, Filippo Bigarella’s CleverPin). However, a new tweak which offers similar functionality works quite well, and is worth a mention (plus, it's available for free). The tweak is called AutoProtect, and once downloaded, users can place the credentials of their home wireless network in AutoProtect's settings: once users are connected to this network, their iPhone's passcode lock will be automatically disabled. Once you leave this "safe" network, the passcode will be re-enabled. It's as simple as that! Below, we've included a video of AutoProtect provided by iDownloadBlog. You can take a closer look at the tweak by downloading it in the Cydia Store where, as mentioned, it's available for free.
