Let’s Sing Mashes Together Draw Something With Name That Tune

Don’t like drawing or playing word games with your friends? How about singing instead.
Let’s Sing! has hit the App Store today promising to combine the fun of karaoke or singing in the shower with Name That Tune.
But instead of actually belting out a tune for your friend to hear, you can’t use words. Players can whistle or hum their way through up to 30 seconds of a tune for their friends to guess. If they guess the song, both players earn coins.
For the guesser, you do have the option of using in-game hints. One hint reveals the vowels in the song title while the other tells you the artist of the tune.
You can find friends to play via Facebook, email, or at random. An in-game chat system allows you to congratulate (or ridicule) your friend’s performance.
Let’s Sing! is designed for the iPhone and can be purchased for $4.99 in the App Store. If you’re not ready to put down cash to play the game immediately, Let’s Sing! Free is an ad-supported version of the game.
Just like other popular collaboration games, there is the opportunity of in-app purchases. In this case, you can buy 4,000 coins for $1.99.
I have mixed emotions about this new app. While it is an almost direct copy of Draw Something, I do like to the idea of hearing my friends (and total strangers) embarrass themselves. But at $4.99 for the ad-free version, I think I’ll take a pass and keep my singing confined to an audience of one.
