Thank Your Mom This Mother's Day And Thank Anyone Any Day With Appygraph
May 9, 2012
The previous update for greeting e-card app Appygraph, which sent the app right up to version 2.0, added a new Birthday premium collection. I thought this was quite fitting, since the update was carried out just in time for two interrelated symbols of rebirth, spring and Easter. As a matter of fact, in celebration of both, the update also included a few cards suitable for spring and Easter. These cards were part of the app's then newly introduced free seasonal cards collection. As its name suggests, the contents of the seasonal cards collection change according to the season or occasion at hand, and they do so without the need for an app update. So, expect to be alerted via a badge on the app's Free tab of the availability of free cards for Mother's Day, which is already this Sunday. That is not to say, though, that the app will no longer be needing any actual updates. As it happens, version 2.1 of Appygraph has just been approved.
What's new in Appygraph 2.1? Apart from a number of new free cards, including the ones for Mother's Day, a couple of important developments are introduced by this latest update. One is the addition of of a new Thank You premium collection. The other is the addition of font customization options.
The Thank You collection joins the growing number of premium card collections in Appygraph, which has already included Love, Christmas, New Year's, and the aforementioned Birthday collection. Premium collections are available via in-app purchase at $1.99, but as a special thank you to Appygraph users, the husband-and-wife coding and crafting couple behind the app are putting the Thank You collection on sale at 50 percent off during its first week of availability.
Appygraph lets you easily personalize its card designs by enabling you to add a message and, in some cases, a photo. While photo integration remains the same in the new version of the app, message input has been enhanced with over 40 different font choices. Now you can better express yourself with the serifs, or their absence, in your thoughtful notes and sweet nothings.
Appygraph is designed for iPhone and is available in the App Store for free. It supports unlimited personalization of cards and subsequent sharing thereof via email, Facebook, or iMessage. If real greeting cards — you know, the ones you see in stationery stores and the ones you could ask Apple's Cards, Touchnote Postcards, or Hallmark Go Cards to print and mail on your behalf — aren't your thing, then Appygraph is just the right app for you.
