From the studio behind Soccer Tactics Multiplayer, the turn-based Soctics League will be released next week in the App Store.
Users can play against their device, friends locally or in Game Center, or in a specially designed online community with matchmaking for friendly contests and periodic tournaments.
With three different player types to increase tactical depth, the game's binocular feature predicts where the ball will travel at the end of the turn when precision moves are needed.
Here's a unique trailer from developer Bitongo. Click here if you can't see the video.
The game was originally designed as a major update to Soccer Tactics Multiplayer, released in 2009. But after adding so many different ideas and gameplay changes, the developer decided to make an entirely new game and different experience. The original app will remain unchanged for hardcore fans of the game.
And for Soctics League, the emphasis was focused on making a fun online experience while battling other players. In the online mode, players can build fanbases who learn more chants to be used during the matches.
Ongoing matches can also be watched by other players in spectator mode to help learn new strategies.
Soctics League will hit the App Store next Thursday, May 31. The app will be universal for both the iPhone and iPad and on sale for $0.99 until June 4. After that date, the app will be regularly priced at $2.99.
We'll have a complete review of the game for you after it is released.
