WorldMate Comes To The iPad, Receives iPhone Enhancements, And Goes On Sale
May 4, 2012
WorldMate, the often unpublicized but very widely utilized travel app, is now optimized for iPad, plus incorporates a revised itinerary overview on iPhone and iPod touch.
So, what does native iPad compatibility offer? Quite simply, it provides even quicker and easier. Due to the substantially larger screen space, WorldMate can show you a lot more information at once. The iPad user interface includes the always accessible navigation bar on the left, day-by-day itinerary breakdown down the middle, and details pane on the right.
Just like before, using WorldMate on an iPad allows adding and tracking of multiple trips with flights, hotel stays, meetings, and ground transportation. In addition, WorldMate contains a tip calculator, currency converter, weather data, and local search for restaurants, nightlife, shopping, etc.
Along with iPad support, including Retina display, WorldMate v3.0.25 implements an iPhone user interface enhancement. Still keeping things minimal, the itinerary overview has expanded segments, supplying a few more important details to users without making navigation cumbersome.
Not only is WorldMate wrapped up in a nice and tidy universal iOS app, but it's dispensed in two different packages. The Value Pack contains all of the great features mentioned earlier, whereas Gold unlocks real-time flight tracking, push notifications, and calendar syncing across devices.
WorldMate – Traveler’s Value Pack is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store as a free download. WorldMate Gold – Travel Smart is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later, and available in the App Store at the discounted price of $2.99.
