If you’d like to play something more than the usual word game, the new app Chain of Thought might be what you’re looking for.
Described as a free association word chain game, players can tap on a series of words to complete a chain. Each link in the chain is always a common two-word phrase or compound word.
For example, you navigate from "safe sex" to "love child" along this word chain: "safe>sex>drive>in>love>child."
Here’ a quick video to show more about how the game works. Click here if you can’t see the video.
There are three different modes of play in the app. In solo mode, you play by yourself. Pass and play allows you to battle someone in the same room while you can take on anyone with the online mode.
While the game may a little hard to describe, it’s something that is pretty easy to pick up once you start playing. And the 50 included puzzles are definitely an interesting challenge. Thankfully, there are two levels of hints if you get stuck.
Chain of Thought is a universal app for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. It can be downloaded free from the App Store now. There are two extra puzzle packs that can be purchased for $0.99 each in the app.
