Change The Color Of Your Status Bar With This Fabulous New Jailbreak Tweak

June 29, 2012
In iOS 6, the iOS status bar gets smart. In short, the bar automatically changes color depending on the app currently opened on the iDevice in question. The result is great: the boring, dull status bar from iOS 5 and below that we all know (and loath) is replaced by something that, at least intermittently, is rather more aesthetically appealing. As if building on the success of this change in iOS 6, a new jailbreak tweak called "StatusTint" promises to allow all jailbroken iDevice owners to customize the color of their iDevice's status bar. As you can see in the above image, the customization takes place within a dedicated pane in the Settings app, and the results - depicted in the left screenshot - aren't half bad. You can choose to enable or disable the tweak in StatusTint's settings, and you can create the status bar's new look by blending colors together with sliders. From my personal experience, light blue colors go well with the iOS - though of course, your Home screen wallpaper will have an effect on what kind of status bar you'll want to create using the tweak. Currently, StatusTint is available to download free of charge in the Cydia Store (via the ModMyi repository). Take a look at the new, fun jailbreak tweak now, and give your iDevice's status bar the much-needed makeover it deserves! Source: Redmond Pie
