LogMeIn Adds Bluetooth Keyboard Support, Additional Cloud Storage Options And More
June 28, 2012
LogMeIn is most definitely one of the go to apps for remote desktop access and control. Not only does it have a great feature set and user interface, but it is updated on a fairly regular basis with new capabilities and fixes. In the latest release, users gain convenience with more cloud storage options, Bluetooth keyboard support, and resolution optimization.
Likely the biggest addition, Bluetooth keyboard support provides two different benefits compared to using the soft keyboard. The first perk is easier typing. Quite simply, most people are still much more efficient with physical keyboards. The second advantage being screen space, especially on iPhone. No more losing a large portion of the viewing area just to type and enter commands.
Also designed to improve the viewing experience, the new resolution optimization on iPad results in less panning and zooming, plus an enhanced clarity by matching the host and client display resolution. Available when connecting to systems running Microsoft Windows, the optimization is optional and temporary.
Doubling the predefined cloud storage choices, Box and SkyDrive are the two latest services accessible within the My Cloud Bank area.
LogMeIn is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 3.1 or later, and available in the App Store as a free download. Ignition is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 3.1 or later, and available in the App Store for $129.99.
