Looking To Replace The Official Facebook App On Your iPhone?
Who here loves the official Facebook app for iOS? Who never has any problems with it?
What, no hands?
It sucks, doesn’t it? It never works properly, and it tends to be very sluggish. Supposedly the next version will be faster, but will it be more reliable? Will it actually work well? Who knows.
In the meantime, I’m sure a lot of you would love to find an app to replace the official Facebook one. Well, you’re in luck! This guy — who I am most certainly not related to — clearly has too much time on his hands. He created a Web app that you can add to your home screen to use Facebook.
Simply open this link in mobile Safari on your iPhone, click the share sheet button (box with an arrow in it), tap “Add to Home Screen,” then “Add,” and you’re good to go.
So, go ahead. Try replacing the official Facebook app with this Web app. At least when you open it up, you’ll know exactly what to expect. See? It’s already more reliable than the official app!
