MultiWeb 1.0 Is The Latest Entry Of Simultaneous Multiple Page Web Browsers For iPad

June 17, 2012
Recently jumping into the category of simultaneous multiple page web browsers for iPad, MultiWeb 1.0 hopes to compete by offering a simple user interface and up to four page simultaneous viewing. Displaying separate website windows in each corner of the screen, minus toolbars, simultaneous multi-page browsers are for those web surfers who completely obsess over multitasking. For some, it's about showing multiple stock tickers at once while also being able to manage or someone who wants to keep a close eye on numerous live news sources. Along with zooming, panning, and other very typical gestures, each window has two primary controls consist of a slider for previous and next page and an options button. Within the options area is the URL bar, bookmarks access, sharing choices, viewing mode choices, and a close button. The viewing mode choices include iPhone, iPad, and Readability. In addition, MultiWeb 1.0 allows multiple pages of multiple website windows. For example, you can have a page of your four top news sites, one showing four different stocks, another filled with and other movie resource websites, and so on. To navigate among pages, simply swipe left or right on the very topmost toolbar. I admit, this is the first time I've tried one of these browser types, however, a couple of basic web browsing controls seem to be missing. Perhaps something overlooked, but I couldn't locate any sort of window refresh command, plus I would prefer a much quicker method of closing a window. Otherwise, I found MultiWeb 1.0 did the job just fine, though the concept still doesn't entice me enough. MultiWeb 1.0 is compatible with iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, and available in the App Store for $0.99. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
