Official eBay iPad App Moves Forward With Improvements To Back Button Behavior And More

June 1, 2012
Early last month, eBay came out with an update for its official iPad app. It would've gone largely unnoticed except for the fact that it was a major overhaul, a redesign so radical as to be an entirely different app. For the most part, eBay for iPad 2.0 was a positive response to customer feedback. And now, the developer of the app continues to listen to its users as proved by the just-released eBay for iPad 2.0.1. Among the new features in the latest version of eBay for iPad are support for selling in Canada and support for shopping in India. A new "mark as paid" button has also been added for sellers, and sales tax computation is now included in the purchasing process. Apart from the above new features, the bulk of the update brings an assortment of enhancements. The back button has been fixed following complaints from users whose places in search results were lost upon clicking it. Track Shipping has been made easier to find, and so have advanced search features. Moreover, local currency display in search results is now in order, along with the ability to purchase items posted in the French Canadian eBay site. Other performance and stability optimizations, including color coding of price tags in completed listings and My eBay, are brought by the update as well. The still new and further improved eBay for iPad is available in the App Store for free. Kudos to eBay for giving importance to their users' inputs update in, update out.
