Scribblenauts Remix 2.0 Lets You Play God
June 5, 2012
The wonderful Scribblenauts Remix has today been remixed to version 2.0.
Version 2.0 of Scribblenauts Remix promises not 10, not 20, but 30 brand new levels. These additional levels are available upon purchase of a World Pass, which costs $0.99 in-app. The nice thing about the World Pass in the new version of the game is that it now acts as a perpetual pass, as opposed to the single-world unlock function it used to serve. Henceforth, your purchase of a World Pass entitles you to all future expansions at no extra charge. But if you've previously bought a World Pass in an older version of the game, know that there'll be no need to be up in arms about the new setup. That's because your World Pass is automatically upgraded for perpetuity upon installing the update.
The update also introduces a couple of other features. There's now a link to gift the app, and there's now an option to play as a character other than Maxwell. The game has a new avatar section where you can select your preferred playing persona. This section is meant to be populated by characters you encounter within the game. Initially, though, it lets you choose between Maxwell and God. I think it's only fitting that God should be included, since Scribblenauts Remix is basically about playing God.
Scribblenauts Remix 2.0 is available as a free update and as a $0.99 fresh download in the App Store. While that whole number in its versioning might hint at really big things for this great game published by Warner Bros., no less, the changes brought about by the update are actually not so extraordinary. Be that as it may, the latest version of Scribblenauts Remix is a welcome improvement on the previous, which was already a fantastic version anyway. Now how do you conjure Retina iPad graphics on this thing?
