Rovio's Amazing Alex, launched last week and currently sits atop the App Store's Top Paid list on iPhone, while its iPad counterpart is in second place to the all-new Tiny Wings HD. With the game off to a good start, it isn't surprising that Rovio is set to release Amazing Alex on other platforms, according to the Verge. The official Amazing Alex account on Twitter responded to a fan's question regarding the game's availability on Windows Phone, stating:
PC, Mac & Windows Phone versions are to come later, post launch!Last week, it was confirmed that Angry Birds was getting the console treatment in the form of Angry Birds Trilogy - a bundle of Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. With a franchise as popular as Angry Birds, it would be more of a surprise for the company not to distribute their games to other platforms. With Google's Nexus 7 already shipping, new owners will need some games to push the limits of its quad-core Tegra 3 processor. While there are plenty of apps and games available for both iOS and Android, many of the greats like Jetpack Joyride and Tiny Wings are still iOS exclusives. After making a name for themselves on iOS and spreading Angry Birds to other platforms, do you think Rovio will influence other developers to release titles across multiple platforms?
