Don’t Like Everything About Mountain Lion? Go Back To Lion, One Tweak At A Time

July 25, 2012
With OS X Mountain Lion, Apple has introduced 200 new features for Mac customers. However, if you’re like me, and find one or more of these “improvements” not to your liking, there is now help. You can now return some familiarity to Mountain Lion but using a new tool, Clean Install – Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 DP3. Using this, you can tweak any new setting you don’t like while keeping the rest of the changes in place.  You can do this by copying the correct string and then pasting it into Terminal. Note: If you’ve never used Terminal on your Mac before, it’s likely this tool is not for you. In other words, this isn’t for a casual user. Haven't upgraded to Mountain Lion yet? Do so now!
