Cuddly Animals Know How To Work It In Happy Street

It seems that the Canadian App Store is able to experience a bliss that none of the others are privy to yet. Happy Street, a freemium town building game by Godzi Lab, is available as a beta release in Canada. So what makes this game any different than the others, such as NimbleBit’s offerings of Tiny Tower and Pocket Planes?
Well, does cuteness work? How about incredible cuteness? How about cuteness so saccharine that it crystalizes on your iDevice’s screen? Yeah, that cute.
Cartoony animals need to build the happiest village possible by gathering resources and working with friends. Different goals, aside from building and earning credits, provide a break from the traditional city-building game. Unique mini-games, such as spin-the-wheel and fishing, are offered as well.
According to Touch Arcade, the game offers a variety of playing options, as well as how helpful the guide feature of it is.
Only time will tell if these cute critters are able to capture our hearts (and nickel and dime our wallets), but the initial reaction seems to be positive. With a name like “Happy Street,” I suppose it’s hard not to be positive.
Are you ready for another freemium city builder, or would you rather these cuddly animals stay on their side of the street?
