Max Payne Mobile v1.1 Brings The Pain To iCloud

July 5, 2012
Rockstar Games' release of Max Payne Mobile earlier this year was a huge surprise, as it was announced just a week before hitting the App Store. We enjoyed this iOS port of an old PC classic, but it left a little to be desired. Max Payne Mobile has just received its first update since May and brings some welcome features with it. In addition to bug fixes and stability enhancements, Max Payne Mobile v1.1 now features iCloud support for your saved game, meaning you can progress through the game seamlessly on your different iDevices. Another new feature is the option to move and shoot with the right analog stick. Early reviews in the App Store were a little negative on how well the game played with iOS' on-screen controls, but now being able to shoot without that small, dedicated shoot button should make things a little easier. If you haven't heard of the game, reading its description from the App Store in the scruffiest action movie narrator voice you can will give you a feel for it:
A fugitive undercover cop framed for murder, hunted by cops and the mob, Max is a man with his back against the wall, fighting a battle he cannot hope to win. Max Payne is a relentless story-driven game about a man on the edge, fighting to clear his name while struggling to uncover the truth about his slain family amongst a myriad of plot-twists.
Max Payne Mobile is available in the App Store for $2.99 as a universal app. Are there any other console or PC games that you'd like to see ported to iOS?
