New Filterstorm Update Goes Down A Storm

July 29, 2012
Filterstorm received another update yesterday, adding a number of new features (plus bug fixes, of course) to the universal photo editing app. The latest version of Filterstorm sports a new interface, which is aimed at efficiency even as it supports a wide array of functions. Specifically, one of the interface changes applied by the update to Filterstorm is its improved right-hand interface option. Filterstorm's main interface pane defaults to the left side of the screen. But, if you're so inclined, you can transfer it to the other side with a mere toggle of a button. Speaking of buttons, a new one has been added to Filterstorm. Labeled "Make Square," the new button, well, gives the canvas you're currently working on square dimensions. Another new feature is the ability to hide items from the list of filters. If you like to see only the filters that you frequently use, tap the button that resembles an equalizer and deactivate your unwanted filters. In addition, the update brings a couple of device-specific enhancements. Post-update, Filterstorm should manifest better landscape support on the iPhone and improved performance on the third-generation iPad. Perhaps in celebration of the update, Filterstorm is currently available in the App Store for $1.99. That's half off its regular price. The discount is applicable until today only, though, so better get it now in case you don't have it yet.
