The Next Angry Birds Title Could Feature A Reversal Of Roles

It's been a while since Rovio last told us anything about the Angry Birds titles with the focus on their upcoming game Amazing Alex. But new information from Pocket-lint reveals a whole new game in the making. According to Pocket-lint, Rovio is set to create a new Angry Birds title where you control the pigs and battle those temperamental fowls instead.
Pocket-lint revealed the following:
The idea of the new game will see you trying to protect the eggs you've grabbed from the birds, but still feature a catapult and the now famous wooden and stone structures. The game, which is expected to be available sometime before Christmas, will feature a number of different pigs and -like the birds in Angry Birds - they will come with different strengths and skill sets. They admit this is partly pure speculation, however, they also reveal that they have been shown screenshots of the game. So not only have we got a potential plot, but a release date as well. I don't consider it much of an innovative concept though. If it is going to feature the same catapulting gameplay, then to me it's the same old Angry Birds with a new skin. Even if the birds come flying towards you, I'm not sure that's enough to call it something special, but then again, I am no Angry Birds fan either. Regardless however, the hype has always been good enough to catapult any Angry Birds title to the top. Thanks for the tip, Ian! Source: Pocket-lint
