TheEndApp Begins Another Run Of Post-Apocalyptic Gameplay Enhancements
July 28, 2012
TheEndApp has only just begun, as evidenced by the latest round of improvements it received recently.
TheEndApp is one of the most recent games to come out of the Temple Run School of Endless Runnning.
Yes, TheEndApp, much like Subway Surfers, owes a lot to Imangi Studios' extremely popular game. To its credit, though, TheEndApp has enough engaging elements to differentiate it from its apparent inspiration.
Basically, TheEndApp is a Temple Run-style (as opposed to Canabalt-style) endless runner set in a post-apocalyptic world.
Instead of escaping from demon monkeys while collecting coins, you're running through the streets of a city in utter destruction while collecting duct tape. Because, in case you didn't get the memo, duct tape is the key to salvation.
Following its latest update (its second one since its launch earlier this month), TheEndApp is now set to distance itself farther from Temple Run.

The latest version of TheEndApp brings new challenges, new game modes, and new unlockable characters. There are even new musical cues to boot.
As noted by Touch Arcade, the above new additions are accessible along with the game's existing Pro features, packaged in a $1.99 in-app purchase.
And in case you're wondering, one of the new playable characters is none other than a zombie-fied version of the game's protagonist, Master Prepper.
The update also includes the ability to run against other players through Game Center as well as Game Center achievements.
TheEndApp is available in the App Store for free.
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine. That's because I'm playing the recently reloaded TheEndApp.
