Elements, the first iPad text editor that syncs notes using Dropbox, is turning 2-years-old today. And developer Second Gear is celebrating by chopping the app’s price for the next two days.
Instead of the usual $4.99, the app is now only $1.99.
For those of you who haven’t heard of the app, Elements is a Dropbox-powered Markdown writing environment for all of your iOS devices. The app allows you to edit and share plain text documents between devices. And since the app uses Dropbox, documents can also be pulled up on any Mac or PC as well.
Other nice features of the app include offline support that allows a user to upload changes the next time they are connected to Dropbox and the capability to sync manually or automatically.
And even though the app is celebrating another birthday in the App Store, Second Gear isn’t done making Elements even better, promising some exciting changes that it plans to show off soon.
If you’re interested in learning more about the app, take a look at our recent AppShowdown from Christine Chan. She takes an in-depth look at the app and other popular text editors.
Elements is a universal app for use on the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. It can be downloaded in the App Store.
