Handmade Highlights: The Booksi - Your Favorite Book As An iPhone Dock

Last week in Handmade Highlights I showed you some amazing leather cases for your iPads and iPhones, and this week, I’ve found something a bit different.
Most of the iPhone and iPad docks on the market are designed to be compact, sterile, and well, downright boring. That’s not the case with the Booksi line of docks, from Rich Neeley Designs, which are made to blend right in with your home decor.
Neeley takes vintage style books with interesting, eye-catching colors and turns them into dedicated iPhone and iPad charging stations.
Every Booksi is hand built to order, using one-of-a-kind vintage books or brand new editions. The charging stations look completely natural on any desk or night stand, and because the charging cord is secured inside the book, you’ll never go cord hunting again.
You can get a book dock just for the iPhone, but Neeley also makes them for the iPad. You can even get an iPhone/iPad duo station, so you can charge all of your favorite iDevices at once in a single convenient location.
The Booksi is designed to work over USB with all iPods and iPhones, as well as all iPads (though you’re not able to use an iPhone Booksi with your iPad). A wall connector is not included, so you will need to use the one that came with your iDevice.
Booksi cases come in a wide range of styles, but if you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, you can get in touch with the creator via Etsy, and have something special whipped right up.
These docks range in price from $38 for the simplest iPhone station to $78 for a multi-book display, and can be purchased from the Booksi Etsy Shop.
