Marvel Continues To Tease Unannounced Mobile Game Starring The Avengers

August 21, 2012
Marvel continues to be a tease about its upcoming, unannounced mobile game apparently starring The Avengers. After releasing the pictured above image last week, Marvel has followed up with a quick video. Click here if you can’t see the video. In the video, S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury explains that an odd energy pulse has hit Earth and knocked out power grids and communications around the globe. The bad guys of HYDRA and A.I.M. have taken the opportunity to strike and attack. And S.H.I.E.L.D. is calling all agents and superhumans to report for duty. If you’re interested, Marvel is promising to release exclusive updates and more about the game on its Marvel XP Facebook page. Marvel XP is a free, live service that was activated in March with the launch of Marvel: Avengers Alliance. The service tracks play in multiple games across different platforms. It tracks player progress and shows in-game achievements. I’ve enjoyed Marvel’s iOS titles so far, especially Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty that was released a little more than a year ago. If the game is just a small bit as fun as The Avengers movie, it should be a blast to play. We’ll keep you up to date and let you know if we hear any more information about the title.
