Quirky App Of The Day: You Know You're Drunk When You Need An App To Explain It To You

There's something about alcohol that can bring out a different side of a person. Maybe its the lowered guard and relaxed inhibitions. Maybe its the actual chemical composition of the beverage. Maybe its a hidden talent for turning a room full of friends into hostages while you "entertain" them with your antics. Regardless, drunkenness seems to be fodder for apps and games. You Know You're Drunk When is a collection of nuggets of wisdom from those who didn't quite know when to stop.
The You Know You're Drunk When app is a collection of situations that, should you find yourself relating to them, can help measure personal drunkenness. Some of the situations are simple, direct, and sensible: You know you're drunk when someone tells you "You're Drunk."
Some situations are more complex and, therefore, more hilarious. Trying to use the microwave for texting is definitely a more complex method of determining if you are drunk, but the image of watching a drunk trying to text with a microwave would be funny.
Many people have great stories from hitting the giggle juice a little too hard. Many people enjoy being able to share their hard-learned wisdom with others. You Know You're Drunk When brings the chance for such an exchange of ideas. You are free to submit your own personal tidbits through the app under the settings tab.
Under the search category, you can browse the wisdom of others by category. I will warn, however, that an absurd amount of them are stashed under the miscellaneous category.
One new "fast one" pulled by the developers is the sharing setup. Normally, sharing is naturally a part of an app, regardless of wether it's paid or free. You Know You're Drunk When has the sharing features turned off in the free version. In order to access them, you have to buy the full version. Personally, I've never seen this. I'm not someone who's big into sharing, caring, and tweeting everything. To me, it's no big loss. I just thought it was a strange tactic for getting others to buy the app.
Does having to pay for sharing features make you more likely to buy the app?
You Know You're Drunk When is available in the App Store for the awesome price of FREE!
