Slim Down Notification Banners With DietBulletin Jailbreak Tweak

August 21, 2012
If you're looking to slim down notification banners on your jailbroken iDevice, consider downloading DietBulletin. This new jailbreak tweak quite literally can thin your banner notifications, so they take up less space at the top of a jailbroken iPhone's screen. Once DietBulletin has been downloaded and installed, all banner notifications for incoming messages, emails or other alerts, will be around half their original width (as you can see in the above image). Obviously, this new jailbreak tweak has the power to save space on your jailbroken iDevice, and as you can see, indeed it does. For example, in our lead image, with DietBulletin installed, it's possible to see the notification count on the Messages app. But with DietBulletin uninstalled, this badge notification is hidden by the banner. Folks can download DietBulletin for free in the Cydia Store. Just make sure you've added Ryan Petrich's repository, "http://rpetri.ch/repo," to your list of "Sources" in the Cydia app. Below, Dom has taken DietBulletin for a spin - check out his video, and see for yourself how the jailbreak tweak looks once installed on a jailbroken iPhone.

Please note: After Dom shot and edited his video, DietBulletin received a minor update. This allows users to select which applications have their banner notifications shrunk down; the functionality of the jailbreak tweak otherwise remains the same.
