In iOS 6, Apple has altered the appearance of the status bar: now, the status bar changes color depending on the app you have open. If you want to add this status bar to iOS 5-powered iDevices, consider downloading "StatusColor" - a new jailbreak tweak that can port the new and improved status bar to iOS 5.
Once downloaded and installed, users can enable the iOS 6 status bar in the Settings app. Here, it's also possible to apply a "Black Translucent" status bar, or a "Black Opaque" one. Furthermore, users can also disable all the iOS 6 status bars, reverting instead to the appearance of the status bar in iOS 5 and earlier.
It's a simple jailbreak tweak, and as such StatusColor can be downloaded for free in the Cydia Store (via the BigBoss repository). Below, we've included a video of StatusColor in action.
