Dial P For Phonetrait's Picture-Perfect Version 2.0

Phonetrait, the "personal smart dialer" app developed by Paul Steinhilber, has just been updated to version 2.0. Phonetrait 2.0 is no mere upgrade, though. In fact, it's an app far removed from its previous version. According to Steinhilber, Phonetrait 2.0 is "a complete new app, rebuilt from scratch." Considering the exhaustive list of new features introduced in the app, it's certainly hard to argue with that claim. But first, what's Phonetrait supposed to be anyway? Well, Phonetrait seeks to be a "smarter" replacement for the built-in Phone app on your iPhone. Phonetrait offers a quicker way for you to get in touch with the people who matter most to you. Even at a glance, you can easily be directed to their corresponding contact details. This is made possible by Phonetrait grid of portraits showing your most frequently and recently called contacts. Hence the name of the app. So, what's new in Phonetrait 2.0? Take a deep breath and take a look:

• Favorites: you can now manually add contacts to the main screen, which will stay always on top
• Contact people via Twitter
• Support for linked contacts (e.g. iOS 6 Facebook integration)
• Keypad, to call numbers, which aren't in your address book
• View additional information for a contact (picture, notes, addresses, websites)
• Completely redesigned user interface
• Loads Twitter/Facebook profile picture if contact has no picture but a Twitter/Facebook account
• Option to prefer images from Twitter/Facebook
• Improved default pictures, when a contact has no image (try including 'voicemail', 'restaurant', ... in a contacts name, company, job title, department, .... [click here for all trigger words])
• View 'last contacted' for a contact
• New icon
• Improved color detection algorithm
• French localization
• Portuguese localization
• Turkish localization
• Needs iOS 5.0 or higher
