Disney Celebrates Where's My Water?'s First Birthday With Gifts And More
September 23, 2012
It has been a year since Where's My Water? hit the App Store, and the game has been a huge success. To celebrate the occasion, Disney is sharing some behind-the-scenes details as well as showering Swampy and fans with gifts.
In addition to one year of existence, Swampy and the rest of the group have achieved several other milestone with your help, of course. The first accomplishment was reaching the number one paid app spot in the App Store within 24 hours. In fact, Swampy has had the honor of sitting at the top for 44 days in total.
For the next nine months, Swampy, Allie, and Cranky would have new adventures, learn from some mistakes, and even offer up a free sample of the cleansing fun. Now it's June, a time when friends and fans get to embark on a second journey as Agent P makes his App Store debut in Where's My Perry?, another game of rushing excitement.
Combined, these two make up a great dynamic duo, which are referred to as the "Where's My..." franchise. Indeed, it may not be a catchy title, but that's not stopping them from making a big splash on iDevices around the world or getting a line of merchandise.
So, what sort of stats have this crazy bunch of water-loving creatures been able to attain together (again, with your help)? There have been over 100 million downloads that have allowed Swampy to take nearly two billion showers. Want to learn more? Just click on the infographic below to take it all in.
Before we send you off to play in the sparkly and soupy bliss of the bathtub or shower, we'd like to remind everyone of the in-app gifts of v1.8.1.
