Learnist, a social networking site that launched last May, has just released its official app for iPhone and iPad.
Learnist is dedicated to social learning. With its budding online platform, it makes sharing what you know with others easier. As well, it makes learning about what you don’t yet know more engaging.
Learnist does both through its growing collection of Learnboards. Learnboards are posts that contain any combination of media found on the Web. They can have photos, videos, e-books, maps, podcasts, and surveys, among other types of content.
With the recently released Learnist app for iOS, browsing Learnboards is now possible anytime and anywhere.

You can browse wide-ranging Learnboards created by experts and your fellow learners. And if you find a Learnboard to your liking, you can follow it to get updated on its newest content. You can also follow users whose Learnboards are of interest to you.
Learnist is all about collaborative learning. And this is highlighted in its official iOS app, in which you can easily ask questions and offer your own answers. You can also share your favorite Learnboards via email, SMS, Facebook, or Twitter.

What’s more, you can use the iPhone app to create your own Learnboards by uploading illustrative photos directly from your camera or photo library. But, disappointingly, you must log in to the app using Facebook (and only Facebook) before you can do so.
