Place Your iPhone In Secure Mode With This New Jailbreak Tweak

September 24, 2012
A new jailbreak tweak called FaBActivator allows jailbreakers to place their iPhone into a "secure mode," effectively locking the handset in a new and interesting way. Once enabled (via an Activator action), users will be able to access and unlock the secured smartphone, and browse through Home screen pages. However, while the iPhone is secured via FaBActivator, it will not be possible to launch apps, access the multitasking tray, or activate Notification Center. Essentially, the iPhone will be useable, but also locked down until FaBActivator is disabled via a PIN code. In the Settings app, it's possible to choose exactly what aspects of the iPhone FaBActivator affects. You can lock down some apps (rather than all), and choose whether you'd like the jailbreak tweak to also lock down the multitasking tray, and Notification Center. Below, we've embedded a video review of FaBActivator - take a look at it now. Currently, FaBActivator is available in the Cydia Store for $1.59 via the BigBoss repository. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UHHUs3u49k
