Popular Camera+ Makes A Move To The iPad With iCloud Sync

September 27, 2012
While it’s not exactly a bunch of flying pigs, another new program has hit the App Store with the popular iPhone app Camera+ making its way to the iPad. Realizing that not many people will actually be taking photos with the iPad, Camera+ for the tablet has been designed more with photo editing in mind. Probably most importantly, the iPad version features iCloud sync that automatically syncs all of your Lightbox photos between devices. That should allow users to take photos with their iPhone to edit on the iPad. There is also a host of new features only found in the iPad version. My favorite is the ability to brush on effects, allowing users to apply an effect exactly where they want by setting brush size, softness, and intensity. Users can also straighten photos, perform advanced image adjustments, and import photos from Flickr and Facebook on the iPad. The iPhone version also received an update today anchored by support for the larger, 4-inch screen of the new iPhone and iOS 6. The update also allows Facebook sharing of photo with single sign-on support. To celebrate the new app launch, both Camera+ for iPad and the original Camera+ are $0.99 in the App Store. Even though I’m a little disappointed to see that it isn’t a universal app, the low price really does make it a good deal. I’m excited to get the use the program for the iPad as well. Our own Bryan M. Wolfe recently featured Camera+ in his App Rewind column. It's definitely worth a look.
