Sprint To No Longer Offer The iPhone 4?

Though the iPhone 4 is indeed set to "live on" following the launch of the iPhone 5, with the handset going free on a two-year contract, it seems Sprint isn't going to join in the fun. According to a recently published Sprint document, while the carrier is indeed offering the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S, its iPhone 4 offerings are said to be "removed" from September 21 (which, as you'll know, is the launch date of the sixth-gen smartphone).
According to 9to5Mac:
Perhaps Sprint feels it cannot afford to offer the device at $0 on a contract. There is a possibility the carrier will move the iPhone 4 to a Virgin-only prepaid offering, which we expect would bump the cost of the device close to the $399 price point. The device currently sells for $549 on Sprint, but that price has yet to come down following the iPhone 5 launch.In similar news, the sixth-gen iPhone 5 is already available to preorder online, though immediate shipping estimates were around two weeks.
