Thumbs Up For Latest Version Of About.me For iPhone

September 8, 2012
The latest update to About.me for iPhone is all about compliments and then some. About.me for iPhone is, of course, the official iPhone client of About.me, AOL’s very own personal webpage maker. The app boasts a considerable number of key features, including browsing of random pages and checking out nearby users. And now, thanks to its latest update, more features have been added to the app. Foremost among these is support for compliments. Launched on the full site early last month, the compliments feature is About.me’s own take on Facebook’s likes. In About.me for iPhone, you can now compliment other users on their pages, their writing, and their background. You can also let them know that you’d like to collaborate with them. Just tap the new thumbs up button on their profiles to do so. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. And to let you know when others have complimented you or favorited your page, the app now includes a new activity feed. You can see all of your notifications in this new feed. The new update also gets rid of the old “Me” tab in favor of “View My Page” within the settings screen. It also introduces pull-to-refresh (finally) for refreshing your location and notifications. Also including some bug fixes and visual improvements, the new version of About.me for iPhone is available now in the App Store for free. My compliments go out to the developer of the official iPhone client of About.me for a job well done on the app’s latest update.
