Watch Video Of Stupid Criminals Breaking Into A California Apple Store

September 13, 2012
Apple Retail Stores have often sadly been the targets of various thefts and smash-and-grab robberies. And Tech-Shizzle is highlighting recently released video of a late-night robbery of a store in Temecula, Calif. earlier this month. The released part of the video, clocking in at a little less than two minutes, shows the alleged driver, 22-year-old Equonne R. Howard, driving his own 2003 BMW X5 through the drop-down gate and glass at the front of the store. Click here if you can’t see the video. As you can see, after the horrific impact that sent merchandise and tables flying, the less-than-bright passenger quickly grabs iPads and iPhones instead of the more expensive Macs further back in the store. And Howard spends considerable time trying to back out of the store before finally exiting. According to the local Riverside Press-Enterprise newspaper, the impact of the crash caused two flat tires that Howard had to stop and change. And it didn’t take a lot of police work to apprehend him. He was found a few hours later returning to store to possibly look for the front license plate of the vehicle that fell off in the crash. The keys to the vehicle were still in Howard’s pocket. Howard is being held in a local jail on a bond of $600,000 – roughly the amount of damage caused to the Apple Store. And with two prior convictions, this may be Howard’s third strike, with a minimum of 25 years in prison if he is convicted. Source: Tech-Shizzle
