Google+ For iOS Gets Plus Points For Added iPhone 5 Support And More

October 11, 2012
Google has just issued an update for the official iOS client of its namesake social network. Google+ for iOS lets you manage your Google+ account and interact with other users in the network right on your iPhone or iPad. It includes a variety of social features, including Hangouts for video chats and Messenger for text-based conversations. Of course, the app also lets you post and view updates, photos, and other types of content. The app has just received another round of improvements. Unsurprisingly, one of these improvements is the app's added support for iPhone 5 and iOS 6. Took Google long enough, but better late than never, eh? The latest update to Google+ for iOS also includes a little something specifically for Google+ page owners. In the new version of the app, they can now manage their brands' Google+ pages directly from an iDevice. They can now view, post, and comment using their accounts for Google+ pages. It's like Facebook Pages Manager, but for Google+, of course. Google+ for iPhone and iPad is available in the App Store for free. Also included in the newly updated app are the ability to edit posts and the ability to search for people and posts on the iPad. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
