New iPad Mini Has LTE Connectivity Just Like Its Big Brother

October 23, 2012
While the iPad mini may be smaller, it won't be lacking for connectivity options. Just like the rest of Apple's iOS devices, the iPad mini will feature LTE connectivity. Apple's Phil Schiller said the mini would feature the same LTE networking as the new fourth-generation iPad. The LTE mini will have the same $130 price premium. So the base LTE model will cost $459 and ship starting in mid-November. In the United States, there will be LTE versions of the tablet on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Just like with the iPad, there will be no long-term contract for LTE service, and users can sign up month-to-month.
