Just in time for Halloween, Weather HD is getting into the spirit with its most recent update.
Version 2.1.0 adds the Scary but Stunning Halloween theme that consists of spooky videos depicting current weather conditions. Once you download the update, all you need to do is enable the Halloween theme from the app’s Settings menu.
And as another nice treat, the update also brings support for the larger 4-inch screen of both the iPhone 5 and the newest generation of the iPod touch.
The Halloween theme can be found in both the free and paid versions of Weather HD. Weather HD is a universal app for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad, and can be downloaded in the App Store for $0.99. Weather HD Free is also universal and available in the App Store.
The paid version, along with being ad free, has push notifications for severe weather alerts and the MultiForecast feature.
While the update is lighthearted, there are very serious weather concerns going on in the United States today. Check out eight apps to help ride out Hurricane Sandy that is wreaking havoc through the eastern seaboard.
