Black And White Photo App Hueless Is Chock-Full Of New Features
November 1, 2012
Released just five months ago, Hueless has already turned into something of a gold standard in black and white iPhone photography. Now, the release of version 2.0 of the app is only going to reinforce that picture, so to speak.
Like most other 2.0 updates, Hueless' is packed with substantial enhancements.
For starters, Hueless 2.0 brings a refined app icon and, more important, a refined shooting interface with a bigger and more responsive shutter button.
The new version also brings the app's somewhat overdue optimization for the four-inch screen of the iPhone 5 and the fifth-generation iPod touch.
But the bulk of the update consists of a number of new welcome additions to Hueless' already impressive feature set.
Hueless 2.0 adds geotagging, a high ISO mode option, and support for the cinematic 2.39:1 aspect ratio.
The updated app also lets you quickly review your last shot and swap the order of the on-screen buttons to suit your preference.
In addition, six new URL structures for interoperability with other apps, including Launch Center Pro, are introduced in the app:
But perhaps the most notable feature introduced in Hueless 2.0 is the ability to share the preset image adjustment formula used on a photo. By tapping and holding on a preset, you can share the corresponding formula with your fellow black and white photography enthusiasts via Twitter, Facebook, and email. Hueless 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
