BlastPoints Will Battle Its Way Into The App Store Next Week

November 27, 2012
Australian developer Pub Games recently shared some information about its debut title. And it looks like a lot of fun. The aptly named BlastPoints is designed to bring the classic space combat experience to mobile devices. Powered by the Unreal Engine 3, the title sees players taking control of a customizable fighter. Gamers must fend off continuous waves of enemies in exciting looking dogfights. With the ability to customize primary, secondary, and special weapons on your ship, there are more than half a million weapon and upgrade combinations available. Here’s a trailer for the game. Click here if you can’t see the video. The title will feature 10 different gameplay types including time attack, survival, and deathmatch. Enemies in the title also look to be pretty interesting. There will be a diverse amount of foes to fight off, each with their own abilities and responsive AI. And that definintely sounds like great news as I like a game that is challenging right along with being fun. Players can also share their scores on Facebook and Twitter. BlastPoints will be released on Thursday, Dec. 6 in the App Store as a universal title for the iPod touch/iPhone and iPad. It will cost $2.99.
