Build A New Appreciation Of Arcade Games With Disney's Wreck-It Ralph
November 1, 2012
"Wreck-It Ralph," Disney's latest 3-D computer animated film, is hitting U.S. theaters tomorrow, Nov. 2. Now, ahead of the film's big release, Disney has released a new mobile game based on the "Wreck-It Ralph" universe.
Also titled Wreck-It Ralph, the new game is essentially an expansion on the already existing Fix-It Felix Jr. game for iOS.
Launched in the App Store way back in July, Fix-It Felix Jr. is a retro-style arcade game in which you try to fix a building that Wreck-It Ralph, er, wrecks.
That very same game is now incorporated with brand new levels into Wreck-It Ralph, which is actually a three-in-one game.

Along with Fix It Felix Jr., Wreck-It Ralph also features Hero's Duty and Sweet Climber.
Hero's Duty is a cyber-bug shooting game, while Sweet Climber is a Doodle Jump-like endless jumper. These are inspired by two of the modern games Wreck-It Ralph ends up in after he escapes from the 8-bit world of Fix-It Felix Jr. in the film.
The new Wreck-It Ralph game also includes an achievements system with which you can share your scores on Facebook. In addition, the game promises updates that will introduce new mini-games, like the upcoming classic car racing game Turbo Time.
Compatible with both iPhone and iPad, and already optimized for iPhone 5, Wreck-It Ralph is available now in the App Store for $0.99. Watch out for our review of this three-in-one "Game Central Station" to be posted soon here on AppAdvice.
